The prebuilt 2.4 kernels available to us dont have bluetooth enabled. They could be rebuilt to include the bluetooth modules however.

Just think if wicknix can do this depending on what setup he has :)
bluetooth in all 3MX's + etch that would be excellent. possible satnav over bluetooth umm
well wicknix what do you think !!
Many Thanks
Andrew

T_Nut: i'm getting very close to having a go at the kernel myself. Not only have I not so far been able to run etch of the sd card (maybe needs ext2/3 compiled into the kernel not as a module and possibly tweaking the rootfs as well) but i really need a few modules for things like bluetooth and usb to serial cables. I just need to find the kernel source, any patches and make sure i don't screw things up :)

but wicknix is sooooooo much better at these types of things :)

Ultimately the hard drive i had all my 3MX stuff and compilers on bit the dust just before i released ultra3. I havent set up another dev environment yet since then. If you guys want to give it a go i found a few of the needed files.

http://en.ingenic.cn/product.aspx?ID=62 (2.6 kernel, cross compiler and more)

http://194.150.201.35/cnmlifestyle/source/mipseltools-gcc331-lnx24.tar.gz (2.4 kernels cross compiler)

http://194.150.201.35/cnmlifestyle/cnmbook/sourcecode.htm (celinux kernel and other sources)

http://projects.kwaak.net/twiki/bin/view/Epc700/CompilingAKernel  (tutorial)

http://projects.kwaak.net/twiki/bin/view/Epc700/USBtoSerial (usb2serial module)

ftp://ftp.ingenic.cn/3sw/01linux/02kernel/celinux/ (2.4 kernel and other stuff on that ftp server)

pmp_defconfig for 2.6 kernel or defconfig-pmpv2 for 2.4 kernel

If it works could you rebuild one without the splash screen for me? I'd much rather see the boot process than a useless splash screen.

Cheers.
