I just built pidgin-2.6.5 and the facebook-chat plugin for it. You can try it out. Pidgin works and the facebook plugin shows up, but i have not tested it. This package works on 3MX Ultra only. Not tested on anything else. Grab it from 3mx.taita.co.uk.
Cheers.

Edit: Ok, removed my old post. Rebuilt facebook-chat plugin again. This time it works. It does use a LOT of CPU if you have tons of friends online because it's constantly refreshing the userlist to see who's online, idle or going offline but it works fine now. I mean it lags the computer down to almost a halt, but if you must have facebook chat you'll be able to deal with it. Don't expect to browse the web or play music while facebook chatting, but it does work. Who's the man!!!!??? If you downloaded yesterdays version, remove it and install the pidgin i just uploaded. (dated feb 9th) Cheers.

I couldn't find pidgin and facebook plug-in on you site. Are you sure you haven't removed it?

Just facebook is slow. It slows pidgin down. Not using facebook will speed it back up to normal. All the other chat plugins are fine. Its probably because this is an unofficial 3rd party plugin that's not part of pidgin by default. The .info file tells you where it installed, but that shouldn't matter. This just replaces/upgrades the pidgin already in Ultra. Just click the messenger icon on the desktop or the menu.
Cheers

The, there is something wrong. If I click on messenger icon program opens and I have created my profile but I can't see any log in voice and window is blank with no information. I am not used with this kind of program, can you explain me how to connect? Thanks

Something doesn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled Pidgin but if I want to create a new profile I can't choose any protocol, if I click on it nothing appear. Then filled tabs with username/password I check add but window close asking again to create a new profile.

Can anyone else confirm this? It's working fine on mine, however my install has loads added to it from the base install of ultra. If it's an issue i'll backup my install and reflash a stock ultra to see what might be wrong.
Cheers.
