IP Radio (help)
« on: August 26, 2009, 04:39:50 PM »
hi.

Right. I've now got the IP Radio installed and working. I've seen a thread sort of telling you how to put other stations on it (useful). I can now edit it, only I do not know what I am supposed to put in it. I've been on Shoutcast and yes lots of station. As par info I'm told left click the Liston now. BUT no Liston now pad but there is a TUNE IN pad if I click that it play's. If I save page I only get the page...

So what am I doing wrong...

Pete

hi.

Sorry I've not had a reply to this problem. But I'll stick to it. I've got the bits I need (I think) But compering them to the ones that are used, nothing matches. So I'm just fumbling about really.  Maybe a scripted for a station or two will show me what I'm looking for. I'm sure they would do the trick !!.

Thanks

Pete

Pretty easy. Just left click (in bonecho/firefox) on the tune in link and choose "save as" or "save link as". It will save as a .pls file. Now open that file with an editor to see the URL to add to IP Radio.

Cheers.

hi

Thanks "wicknix" for your help.  A small question though... What part of the script do I take!. I know that sounds a little daft but they all differ in some way.I look at the ones that are used and they look :-

name:canada radio  url: mms://stream.essnet.com/fm889

so.  I enter "name:New station name  url: mms://129.7.49.200:80"

The ones I'm looking at say http://129.7.49.200:80 so on.

Or maybe I enter all the line...

Or all after the // will do the trick.

IP Radio can handle mms or http links. When you open your desired .pls file it may have more than 1 URL. Just enter the top one (no need for all of them since they play the same stream).

Example: These i added to 3MX Retro's IP Radio.

name:ESPN Radio url: http://64.73.251.26:8000
name:Comedy 104 url: http://65.99.205.7:7000
name:The 80's url: http://scfire-dtc-aa07.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1040
name:Chronix Metal url: http://scfire-ntc-aa03.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1039
name:90's Alternative url: http://66.90.121.3:10015
name:SID Station url: http://74.63.82.198:7542

Cheers

Well what can I say. "" Thank you""

"wicknix you are a star.

The only station that will not work is the SID one.

Thanks
