strange looking file in os

wonder if anyone can answer this, having installed midnight commander on the default os i scaned the system
and after /var at the bottom of the listing was the following :

 Gypsy.24397533   size 928  and a mtime of june 2 21:01

is this normal or some sort of infection.

No its not infected.

Although theoreticly infectable, and well within means of making a virus or spyware ect for the LLL, its runs Linux (hard to infect if you didn't know already!) on the MIPS archetecture which is so obscure, theres not point in making a virus for it.

Who'd make a virus to infect digital boxes or cheap MP3 players?

Although you probably know this already if your doing stuff in MC! :P

This has been my first experiance with linux, the LLL. Now i have installed it on the laptop that came with M$.!
