Hello ALL!!!
I was wondering if anyone knows how to change splash screen... the one with the Pinguin to another graphics. I got one Alpha400 with pre-loaded annoying image.
Thank you for your help!

The screen is a jpeg stored in /usr/share/pixmaps/penquin-head.jpg
Save it as a .old and copy a new jpeg in its place. Check its properties and try to keep the new jpeg to the same or lower size, colour, pixels, etc.

Thanks for that jimux, some good 'uns there, especially some of the Shutting Down ones. I saw a good one somewhere saying
The Server is going down NOW!
which sounded rather violent to me, but good! If I see it again I'll give you the URL....
Unh.

Actually thats the wallpaper used in 3MX rc2.1 and rc3. The response on the trendtac forum is correct. It's compiled into the kernel.
Cheers.
