I bought a 'B' grade from Maplin but had to send it back - they had not reloaded the operating system and all the previous owner's stuff was still there - so much so that I was able to email him and check that it hadn't been returned for hardware problems.
The box was in a terrible state, the computer was a bit scratched, and the manual was manky and scribbled in. I complained to Maplin that they should have reloaded it, but that it would take me some time, so they offered me a discount of ten pounds, but I couldn't be bothered and I sent it back and got a full refund.
I kept an eye on eBay and eventually picked up a 'new' unused one for 60 quid which I am very happy with. Not the fastest of machines, but small, light and with a Vodafone dongle you can get internet access in any city - very useful. It is great to be free of Microsoft at last and I'm slowly getting into Linux with it.
Also this forum is great - very helpful - much better than the Acer Aspire One (my 'other' netbook)
