CnM minibook and wireless printing/Nas
« on: May 28, 2009, 12:45:44 PM »
Hi, I have just acquired a CnM minibook and know nothing of Linux.  Is it possible to use a networked wireless printer and Network attached storage device with these machines?  If possible any advice given would be greatly appreciated......

Regards....

Phil

CUPS set up
Bring up the browser and enter

localhost:631

in the address bar

Then follow the instructions

You'll have to know the workgroup of the target system, and possibly the main user password if it doesn't allow guest logins for print jobs...

Addendum:
*IF* the LLL works anything like a FreeBSD box, then the access to the netowork shares should be easier to.
I've not got around to messing with networked storage...

further addendum.
It could be geologically slow. It is in FreeBSD with KDE on a PIII.
If you don't see the model of your printer listed, go with the model below. There *may* a driver on CUPS, but for a start, go for getting it working... so a close match of the model number below is the better bet...
