I use sunglasses.Someone's talked about some patch.

It seems you need to install the kernel you can find here : http://projects.kwaak.net/twiki/bin/view/Epc700/KernelBacklight (MBR or uImage).
Put the file in the root of the FAT16 formatted SD card.Turn your cnm book off.
Turne back on while pressing SHIFT-FN-F1 together, keep holding down until everything seems normal.Instruction how to change it you can find on the webpage.

There is an alternative patch.  Its included with the keyfunctions-R3-01.  You can find it at the link below:

I have not tried it, so don't know whether it works

I noticed the boot screen is now shown Skytone Alpha 400, is this to be expected?  How can I get back the original that shows my firmaware v70?  Thanks again

you cant.Why do you need that anyway?It's a different firmware,modified from SkyTone400.
You can get back your old one,but in that case forget your control over the brightness.
this is the address for the CNM's firmware download page: http://194.150.201.35/cnmlifestyle/downloads/kernel.htm

I'm trying to flash the backlight control kernel, but it won't flash for good. I only get to boot the kernel once with the keys fn-shift-f1, but the next boot my kernel is back to the old one again. Can anyone help?
