Ipod
« on: January 06, 2009, 05:44:33 PM »
Hi
I have an iPod Shuffle, synced with my windows itunes. Is there a way I could get the iPod to play on the Elonex ONEt but not sync. I've been looking around and found Banshee (http://banshee-project.org/) and Songbird (http://getsongbird.com/).
I would really appreciate it if somebody could recompile one of those to work on the elonex.
Thanks.

year but there is no (descent) playlist in xine plus iPod store its music in three folders 00, 01 and 02 and they are named as numbers (e.g. 0001.mp3) rather then the song name

I don't understand why this Xine player has to be so rubbish anyway. You can't even add folders..

the reason why i love itunes, is because of how it remembers the library, xine dont
Songbird also remembers the library and has a nice layout, can you recompile it.
would also be great to have full functionality of pcmanfm aswell with the menu bars

Possibly....

It depends if you think "I have a netbook. I need it to do x, y and z" or "I have a netbook, what can I get it to do?".

If it's the latter they can be a bit of fun, but I do feel sorry for parents who have bought these for kids and found there's not really anything in the way of educational software. If you look at the BBC Micro it became a great educational computer because of the software, not because Acorn told everyone it's great for kids.
