Title: OK now I've Downloaded Xterm how do I run a program?
Post by: SEPTHO on November 24, 2008, 11:32:32 AM
Guys and Gals,

Sorry it's me again, I've downloaded xterm as suggested by Leven2e and am progressing the lessons I've downloaded but am having trouble running a simple program.

I downloaded a fibonacci sequence program (fibo.sh) for testing and the command to run it should be "./ fibo.sh 100000" without the quotes or possibly "-e fio.sh 100000" without quotes.  Running these just gets me "./fibo.sh not found".  I am running the command from the directory containing fibo.sh and using ls I can seefibo.sh is there.  What am I doing wrong, are there any other downloads to install commands into xterm?  I'd be grateful for any help on this.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a Onet/CnM laptop as opposed to a One? If so are you sure the program you've downloaded is compiled for a MIPS processor? Onet/CnM laptops cannot run standard Linux stuff without being recompiled.
