Guys and Gals,
Forgive my ignorance but this is the first Linux machine I have owned. I have bought the Elonexonet Ibelieve the operating system is a cut down version of Linux. I have downloaded a number of Linux Tutorials to get me started and to understand how it works, but I have a problem. How do you get to the command line? I have used "Ctrl + Alt + F1" told to me by my son, and this looks good but their is no prompt. Can you get a command line prompt on this machine and if so how? I'll be grateful for any pointers and help to get me started, I'm not a complete novice in IT only at Linux.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Steve.

download the XTErm from http://www.littlelinuxlaptop.com/software.htm
Or from here: http://194.150.201.35/cnmlifestyle/downloads.htm
Both of the pages have additional softwares to download
Have a good time.

Leven2e,
Cheers for that, I've got it, downloaded and installed and seems to be working fine, now I can start on the lessons I've downloaded.
I no doubt will be back with more questions but for now. Thanks!

Got the lessons from this addy

You may find its a little below you as I am a "first timer" on linux but there does seem to be a good grounding for newbies in the "Dos" like commands. Hopefully I am going to start my self education today (if I get time) or this week end.
Thanks again for your help, hope this helps you or some other newbies.
