Hi folks,
Is the site down or have I tripped a ban, by making too many download attempts?
Thanks
Mike

Attempts to download any recovery images always stop at around 75meg no matter which one you select.
Anybody? :'(

No clue honestly. Seems fine on my end. However you can try the filefactory link.

3MX Ultra3 : http://www.filefactory.com/file/b1ffcea/n/Recovery_3MX-Ultra3.img

Hello

I have tried to download the Ultra3 image file from www.3mx-linux.co.uk several times now over a couple of days and it gets to 60.4 Mb and then stops ...  :'(

On one try, when it had stopped, I clicked the pause button and tried to restart, but it said that the source file was not available ...  :-\

Is anyone else having the same problem, please?

Paul

... update:  managed to get the file from filefactory and it didn't take as long as I feared.

Hmmm... definitely one of those nights. 3mx-linux.co.uk consistently barfs a few % through the download, and filefactory is giving HTTP 500 errors.

Are there any other sites hosting this?

Try the filefactory link again. Maybe filefactory was overloaded at the time. Seems to be working now when i tried it. I don't host the 3mx-linux.co.uk site, but i have noticed the .img files don't fully download for some reason, but the smaller files download fine.

Cheers.

Thanks - filefactory worked ok - I was a bit worried what it would do as there is a limit of 150MB per hour download on the free setting, and the image is larger, but it lets you have it and just wouldn't let you have anything else.

Now the fun starts.

On a separate issue I see conflicting advice about whether the SD card needs to be FAT32 or FAT16. Will either work? Is there a risk of BREAKING something if you use the wrong one?

Looking forward to working with the new one, and hoping that I can get a decent Perl going in it too... (old hacker me...)

Either will work. Mostly depends on the size of the SD card. 2gb or less should be fat16, anything larger should be fat32. Unless of course you are trying to flash a different kernel, then you'd want to make a small fat16 partition to load the new kernel from. There is no risk flashing 3MX to your device as it's no different than reflashing the stock recovery file. Flashing a new kernel *can* cause problems if not done properly however.

Cheers.
