Try downloading and viewing the files as described in this bog comment for an interim measure.

Cheers.

Hi, you can download video's from youtube using an add on for the internet browser called download helper. in the browser go tools and add ons the get extensions you should then be able to search for downloadhelper.  once it's installed and you've downloaded the video you will be able to watch them in media player. it's not quite the same but it works.

Hi mikst
if download helper is installed correctly then you will have a little symbol greyed out(three balls) to the right of the browser address bar, when you go to youtube select the video you want to view as normal and the three balls should then become animated, to the right of the three balls there is a small black triangle pointing down, click on this and it should drop down a small menu with the name of the file you want to download typically it will have the extension of flv but not always, click on this and it should start downloading the video they are generally around 12MB for five or six minutes. once it has downloaded you can then open up the file manager under the work tab and navigate to the download directory where the file is stored, when you've found the file you can double click it and it will open in the media player.
and thats it! i hope thats enough.
cheers

you could try but i think the main problem is video size and bitrate, the hardware can't deal with much higher than the recommended 350 * 288 resolution and 129 kbs bitrate, as much they say it can play video, i don't think it was designed to.

There are progs those convert video and you can specify the bitrates etc. I use AVS Video Converter, freeware.I find it very useful!
Any idea how to play streaming media (radio) ?
