Yo! It should be pretty straightforward, showing a DOWNLOAD HERE icon that you click on, I think it then gives the option of Premium or FREE use (but as you've subscribed now you shouldn't get that), then a few letters for spam you have to fill in (again for Premium memb. don't have to do it), then it should pop up a box asking where on your machine you want to save it..... voila!

As FREE use was so slow I did plump for 90 days Premium membership and it seemed about twice as fast, but for me subscribing and paying MONEY usually goes against the grain! :)

I decided to upgrade to it but couldn't make any sense of how to download it from File Factory's web-page?

File Factory takes aaaaaaaaaaaages to download. I think it took me 90 minutes or thereabouts for a little over 100 Meg. Just leave it chugging away in the background and have a game of solitaire in the meantime.  :D

What OS/Browser combo were you using to download it ? Are you using any anti-pop-up, script-blocking or ad-blocking plugins ?

Just for the record... when I was using the FREE option it took about 35 mins to download, using XP, Firefox 3.0.6 and an 8MB broadband line. The FileFactory download speed showed an average of about 70kb/sec.

Hi, thanks for your replies!
I tried again this morning (07:30) and found the link but when I tried to download the file to an SD card it said the link was broken. For the record I'm using Windows Internet Explorer on a Net-Gear Wi-Fi standard broadband connection on a larger laptop.
I am happy with the original since through reading some of your tips I managed to get the spell checker working on Abi-Word from the CnM web-page and other bits of goodies. My only grump really is the media player it will only load single tracks at a time. Other than that I love it!
Any tips on downloading version 2 then? :O) Regards. Peter.
