« on: February 14, 2009, 02:56:03 PM »
I have a few request for programs if somebody will compile them.
1. A Graphical frontend for changing matchbox themes (changes text in /root/matchbox/session)
2. All-in-one settings program (like on Mac OS X)
3. Better music player

That'd be very helpful input, yeah. Good call.

Yes, but I haven't tried any cross-compilation from PC to the LLL yet. I was just confirming that if you were asking for a particular program, then pointing out where to get the source code would be very valuable for someone willing to take the task on board.

A uPnP Client such as mediatomb would be a great addition to the LLL.

VideoLan Client would not require any aditionl codecs, i saw it on Xenium but could never test it as it meant manually mounting the USB Drive (dont know how!)

VideoLan client allows you to play most media with out installing aditional codecs.

UPnP Client will allow you to connect to a media server that does all the processing server side (transcode).

I have Gmedia server running on my Emperex ME1 (DVR / Media Centre)
