I've finally done the software upgrade from v47 to v70.After downloading it several times and on different sd cards, I managed to crack it, I realised  I had the sd card in upside down. I had previously put it in with the contacts facing down and got nowhere, I saw a post on this forum with others having this problem it's not installing, there was a suggestion of trying it with contacts up and it worked. THank You.

Can anyone tell me the current Elonex OneT "loading" screen version (which is produced by uImage I believe)
Mine shows ELX-V07 (although I'm using 3MX-r3) but if I do a recovery using the current Elonex file from their website to try out the latest "official" distro, when I shutdown the screen shows V08  ???

Martin

Martin,

I have a refurbished Elonex ONEt bought from Maplin about 2 weeks ago. That shows V08 - does that mean it has been updated to the 'latest' version?

This may be the wrong forum for this question but what's the difference between a ONEt with 3 leds either side of the touchpad and one with 6 leds to the right of the touchpad?

One final dumb question: How do I get to the command line?

Regards,

John.

Yes, the 08 does sound like you have a new version of the OS. Be interested to know what differences there are between that and 07.

I don't think there's any documentation about the difference between led-position-minibooks and that they're the same?

For a command line you can download XTERM from the CnMLifestyle site. Enjoy! I think there is a key sequence you can do to get to a command line - mentioned somewhere in the forum..... but I always use Xterm.

I downloaded the recovery version from the Elonex site and installed it on my CnM.  It worked fine and showed the v08 screen on shutdown but using Xterm I could see that cat replied with exactly the same versions as the previous v07 from CnM
