Time lost after a powerdown
« on: September 07, 2008, 10:59:19 PM »
Hi All,
The only read issue I've found so far is that my Onet+ forgets what time/date it is everytime I power it down from the logout icon.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Phyl.

No, not had a problem with it losing the time/date, but if I use Gmail it shows the time out by one hour on a sent email even though the timezone is set to EUROPE, LONDON on the E.

BUT... the time is not out as if it was calculating it to be GMT/UTC, it's out one hour ahead..... Perhaps some strange Chinese tradition  ;)

Could there be an internal battery which keeps things like the clock alive that's kaput?

yes, same here - with my white one - black one fine

It must be the clock backup battery - I've tried to contact support, but I was away last week - I think they left a message for me - will contact them again tomorrow

it makes the calendar useless, and rubbish for when saving anything, no idea when anything was created - hopefully it's just an easy battery replace job - and they can just send out a replacement battery
